Hypnotherapy

There are many theories about how hypnotherapy works, but the truth is that these theories don’t really matter in practise. What does matter is that all our behaviours, habits and beliefs have been learned and in
some way serve a purpose for us, either now or at some time in the past.

Your unconscious mind responds very well to clear instructions.
But most of us give ourselves mixed messages. We want to behave or feel a certain way and then shout at ourselves when we don’t and so we get stuck in cycles.

When in the relaxed state of hypnosis, we are
better able to speak directly to the unconscious mind and this is why
hypnotherapy is effective. It helps us to bypass our conscious mind and
our ego’s so we can get out of our own way and can teach our unconscious

mind new ways. And most importantly, with hypnotherapy, we can have
access to all the special resources we might not have even known were
there.

So, hypnotherapy works by giving you greater access to
your inner filing system, your inner control room, and best of all, your
inner treasure chest.

Organic Holistic Facials

Organic Aromatherapy Massage

This treatment combines a facial with a natural lift facial massage. The advantages of massage cannot be overemphasised; every system of the body benefits from this revitalising treatment. If you suffer from stress, insomnia, jaw pain, tension headaches or sinus problems, this is the treatment for you.

Massage tones muscles and stimulates the circulatory and lymphatic systems. Nutrients are delivered more efficiently to organs (the skin being the largest organ of the body); waste products are removed more effectively and the body’s immune system is strengthened. Your skin will look radiant, healthy and younger. Expression lines and wrinkles will reduce as the skin becomes more toned and supple plus you will be left with a deep sense of well-being.

Natural lift facial massage makes use of and merges a combination of Japanese and Indian facial massage techniques; otherwise known as Facial Rejuvenation or Natural Facelift. It also integrates techniques from facial reflexology, acupressure and lymphatic drainage massage; the treatment is rejuvenating yet relaxing.

The treatment takes around 60mins overall and the therapy begins with a double cleanse to the face followed by a relaxing massage to the upper arms, shoulders, neck and scalp. The next stage of the treatment is a facial massage, part of which works on meridian acupressure points; to activate the body’s natural healing mechanism and restore balance to all body systems. The natural lift massage techniques finalise this section of the treatment; there are 7 stages to this massage.

A face mask is then applied to boost the effects of the treatment and whilst you are relaxing for the 10 minutes or so that the mask needs to do its work you will receive a gentle foot massage; after which the face mask is removed and a skin serum and organic moisturiser applied.
At  Clearmind we use only the finest and purest, organic massage oils. Aromatherapy is the art of using essential oils from aromatic plants, shrubs, flowers and trees to restore balance to body systems and encourage healing and relaxation. It is holistic; treating mind, body and spirit.

Essential oils are distilled from flowers, plants, shrubs and trees and have hundreds of researched chemical components and properties, they are very complex and as yet scientists have not been able to copy or identify all of them. Extremely complex; the chemicals in essential oils determine their therapeutic use for many health conditions, enhancing health and well-being.

Aromatherapy massage is a very effective but gentle lymphatic drainage massage. The lymphatic system is the body’s secondary circulatory system; it’s primary function is to transport lymph, a clear, colourless fluid containing white blood cells that help rid the body of toxins, The lymphatic system has no pump like the heart in the cardiovascular system; lymph moves around the body through various lymphatic vessels, tissues and organs through diaphragmatic breathing or physical activity. Massage improves the circulation of lymph and assists the lymphatic system in the removal of acids and toxins.

The massage technique used in this treatment is mainly effleurage; slow, rhythmic gliding movements in the direction of the flow of blood and lymph circulation towards the heart. The oils work on all levels physically, mentally and emotionally. Essential oils are blended with a carrier/base massage oil to produce a blend unique to suit each client’s particular needs.
